- When you make any purchase at Fidget & Bob, you can make a donation at the till - from £1.
- Every penny donated goes to charity in the form of goods - Fidget & Bob Ltd. absorbs associated card & transaction fees.
- Fidget & Bob liaise directly with the chosen charity, & ascertain what they need at that *particular time.
- Fidget & Bob purchase & deliver goods to the total donated value.
- By January 2025, through #OurLovelyCustomers, we have donated goods to the value of £2700 to local charities.
- Your donation can materially impact the lives of local service users.

Established in 2013, the Whitley Hub CDA Food Surplus Project donates surplus food to those in need - no referral required.

No. 5 - New Beginnings (Feb. 2024 - Sept. '24)
We collected £800 for New Beginnings Reading, and bought a fridge, a tumble drier and some heavy-duty racking.

Based at the old Queens Arms pub in Great Knollys Street, New Beginnings support homeless people in a number of ways:
- providing food & clothes,
- sign-posting support services & temporary accommodation,
- assisting with independent living,
- an all-day café on Mon., Tues. & Thurs.;
- a hot meal every Tuesday;
- a community fridge on Weds, Thurs & Fri. Free food available. No referral is required.

In total, you helped us donate £544. At their request, we bought an iPad to support their work with service users. With the remaining money, we bought toiletries. Between April and September 2023, #OurLovelyCustomers raised £612 for Launchpad. Thank you to everyone who donated. Most donations are £1 - the collective effort shows the #ThePowerOfExponential. Every penny raised goes to the charity - Fidget & Bob Ltd. absorbs all associated card & transaction fees. With the money, we donated:
- Brand new fridge/freezer
- Brand new electric cooker/oven
- £150 cash.
Launchpad is a homelessness prevention charity, providing vital information & support for anyone who doesn’t have a stable place to live, or who are at risk of losing their home. Founded as a soup kitchen in 1979 by students at the University of Reading, the charity now provides a holistic service to help vulnerable people tackle their housing-related problems, obtain & sustain a long-term home, and lead full & independent lives. Launchpad provides drop-in, legal advice & floating support services to help people overcome housing-related challenges before things get worse. They aim to break the cycle of homelessness by providing temporary homes with bespoke support for up to 104 people, as well as 10 long-term homes for people in housing need. Launchpad also rebuilds lives at Launchpad 135 – a place where vulnerable people can learn new skills, build confidence and get back into work.
